To get to Abu Dhabi Airport from Dubai you will need to catch the E102 at the Ibn Battuta Bus Station (Google Maps link), across the Ibn Battuta Mall. The bus runs every 60 minutes and from 5:30AM to 10:30PM and costs 25AED (local money in dubai) which you have to pay with a Nol card (more on that later). The bus stops specifically here:

And takes an hour and a half to Abu Dhabi Airport.

Make sure to catch the E102 and not the E101, which stops right next to it and goes to downtown Abu Dhabi.

To get to the Ibn Battuta Bus Station you can use the Metro Red line, which runs from Dubai international Airport or call a Taxi with Careem or Uber.

In order to ride the public transport system in the Dubai or Abu Dhabi or anywhere else in the UAE you need a nol card. You can purchase your nol card at any metro station service counter including the one in Ibn Battuta Metro station, which is right across the Bus Stop:

The nol card will cost 25AED and will come with 19AED on it. You will have to top up that nol card to at least 25AED (so 6AED more) to ride the bus to Abu Dhabi. You can do that here:

You will not need to exchange money to buy your nol card, since almost everything in the UAE can be payed with your credit/debit card.

If in doubt at any step of the process feel free to ask people working there- they are very helpful.
